All Patches 01/10/2010

Here we are in January of 2010 with just one year until the 10 year 9/11 anniversary. The plan is to offer the 10 Year 9/11 Anniversary patches and the original patches through an Interest Order Form, and not require any payment until we have a large amount of reservations. This should hopefully allow us to make sure no one is left out while not requiring payment until we are ready to ship them.

The past 9 months were a little tricky with orders as they trickled in. This did not allow us to get the best price on production which ultimately led to delays in getting patches out to people. The way we are doing this now should be better for all.

We are always open to suggestions and appreciate your emails--so keep them coming! Click banner below to order...

Over the past 7 years, the 9/11 Patch Project has become the single largest project to create a lasting 9/11 uniform tribute in the world. It is with great pride that U.S. Firefighters, EMS, Police and Military share this tribute with so many beyond our borders. Regardless of politics or cultural differences, 1st responders have created an unbreakable bond that took one of the most tragic events in history to create.

Below, is an example of this borderless bond...(UK Firefighters, Belgium Firefighter and Italian Father & Son Firefighters)

Welcome to the new home for the 9/11 Patch Project. Formally the National Firefighters 9-11 Memorial Patch project, the short name has become over time; the 9/11 Patch Project.

How it all Began:

The picture above is the end-of-the-ride ceremonies for the FDNY Thank You Amercia Tour. Here is where I met Dan Rowan and 4 other FDNY bike riders who rode from FDNY Station 33 all the way to Pasadena, CA. They ended up a little more than a mile from the station I had been at for nearly 15 years.

It was at this ceremony, that I unveiled a design for a memorial patch with the vision of getting this patch on the uniformed shoulders of firefighters across Amercia.

The project kicked off in January of 2002 and aftger sending out flyers, orders were coming into the Valenica Project HQ's at about 25-50 per day. This went on for months. By September 11th of 2002, the first check of $15,000 arrived at the UFA Widows and Children's Fund office.

For the years that followed, thousands of organizations would come forward to participate; including our U.S. Military and firefighters from 21 other countries.
